Support for University of Wyoming Athletics Hits New Heights at 39th Annual Cowboy Joe Club Auction.
The University of Wyoming’s athletic program was the big winner on October 3rd, as support roared to life during the 39th Annual Cowboy Joe Club Auction, held at Little America. This event, which brings together UW alumni, fans, and community members, is a testament to the strong bond and shared pride we all have in our Cowboys and Cowgirls.
The Cheyenne and Laramie County community, with its incredible generosity, played a pivotal role in the success of this year's auction. What Sue and I witnessed this year, thanks to your support, exceeded anything we could have imagined.
The venue was packed wall-to-wall with passionate UW alumni and die-hard fans, all ready to go head-to-head for an unforgettable lineup of auction items. The energy? Absolutely electric. Bidding wars broke out left and right, sending excitement—and donations—through the roof, all in the name of supporting our University of Wyoming's Intercollegiate Athletic program!
The silent auction alone shattered previous records, bringing in more than any other year in the event’s storied history. One of the evening’s most significant highlights? Multiple Josh Allen–signed jerseys, each fetching an incredible $20,000! Allen, a legendary UW quarterback, has gone on to dominate in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills—his name alone brought a buzz that lit up the room.
Since its inception in 1986, the Cowboy Joe Club Auction has raised millions to support UW student-athletes across all sports. It’s a powerful testament to the spirit and pride of this amazing community.
