How Items are Placed on the Agenda for the County Commissioners Board Meetings

Have you ever wondered how items are placed on the agenda for the County Commissioners Board meetings? The County Clerk's Office oversees all County record-keeping and puts together the agenda for the bi-monthly commissioners' meetings. The consent items, which are a standard part of the agenda, are made up of authorization requests to pay County obligations, event permits, and regular County business. These items are usually routine and non-controversial, and they are voted on all at once. The rest of the agenda includes special proclamation requests by community organizations, land use change requests, subdivision requests, and other items outside regular day-to-day County business.

The process of adding items to an upcoming County commissioners meeting is designed to be accessible to all. The deadline is usually Wednesday or Thursday the week before. The finalized agenda is posted to the

ree

Laramie County Commissioner's website on the Friday before the meeting, ensuring everyone has a chance to review it. In the future, I will post the agendas for each upcoming County commissioners meeting on my Facebook page, further increasing accessibility.

The next meeting is scheduled on May 6, 2025, at 3:30. The agenda isn't available yet but should be available by May 2, 2025. I will post it at that time.
