Cheyenne Frontier Days Grand Parade

Saturday was the first parade of the 128th "Daddy of 'em All", and my first as a Laramie County Commissioner. I had such a fantastic time riding in the carriage with the other Commissioners and Laramie County School District 1 Superintendent, Dr. Stephen Newton.
As a lifelong resident of Laramie County, the parade holds a special place in my heart. I've watched it numerous times from the sidelines, and I've also had the privilege to participate in it during my career with the Sheriff's Office.
However, today's festivities ranked among the most memorable. I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and joy as I saw the community come together in such a vibrant display of our local culture.
The weather was picture-perfect, and the crowd was energized as they watched the procession of horses, wagons, floats, and marching bands pass by.
For the rest of the parade days during CFD, I will be on horseback, something I haven't done since I was a kid, and I am looking forward to it with great anticipation.
The next parade day is on Tuesday. I hope to see you all there! I'd love to hear about your own parade experiences, so feel free to share them in the comments.
