For more than a decade, I was known as the Dancing Deputy during the annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast during Cheyenne Frontier Days. As a proud member of the Cheyenne Kiwanis Chapter, I have volunteered at the event, assisting with crowd control, security, and entertaining countless hungry visitors and residents.
I was known for my ear-splitting yeehaws and dancing with anyone willing to cut a rug with me.
After retiring from nearly three decades in Law Enforcement, I traded in my uniform for a pair of boots and a cowboy hat. However, I am still having a blast amping up the crowd as we feed thousands of hungry guests during the "Daddy of 'em All."
As we approach Wednesday, the much-anticipated Cheyenne Day, I can't help but feel the excitement building. It's expected to be the most attended of the three pancake days, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all there!
Yeehaw!!
