Laramie County Planning Department Tour

This post continues the information from my recent meetings with the various elected officials and county department heads.

One of the most impactful departments in Laramie County in terms of growth is the Planning Department. Under the stewardship of County Planning Director Justin Arnold, it is responsible for evaluating and processing development proposals, acts as the administrative arm of the County Planning Commission, works on special projects such as the newly updated Laramie County Land Use regulations, assists residents with zoning and subdivision questions and partners with citizens and organizations to develop and implement plans that guide the county.

They are also responsible for issuing building permits and conducting inspections to ensure that projects are completed within the guidelines of current building codes.

The department's commitment to ensuring that every project meets all necessary land use requirements before it comes before the Board of Commissioners for approval is a testament to their thoroughness and dedication.
