Monday evening, January 22, 2024, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman spoke at the Laramie County Library during a Town Hall event. Harriet filled the room and overflowed into the outer hall. The Congresswoman talked for over an hour and took several questions from the audience. Topics ranged from the border crisis, election interference, Federal government overreach, and her stance on abolishing the federal Department of Education and letting the states decide how to educate their children best. Seeing so many engaged community members interacting with their elected officials was fantastic.
As your next County Commissioner, I aim to be just as engaged and available to the community. I am Pro-Communication, and as Commissioner, I will use my background in Public and Media relations from the F.B.I. National Academy to keep the public informed. I will use both local media outlets and social media as time allows to highlight important issues being considered by the Commissioners before the decisions made at the meetings.
