Honored to Meet with the Boys and Girls State Members

On June 13th, I was privileged to join other county elected officials in a unique meeting with the esteemed members of Wyoming Girls State and Wyoming Boys State. 

Each year, participants of these groups engage in a week-long program where they learn about the inner workings of state and local government, develop leadership skills, and participate in a mock government experience.  We, as a collective of county-elected officials, met with the groups in the atrium of the County Governmental Complex. We provided them with a synopsis of why we all raised our hands to serve the community, what each of our elected offices contributed, and how we worked together.

It was truly inspiring to witness the enthusiasm of these young individuals for public service. Their interest in potentially running for office in the future is a promising sign for the continuity of our democratic process.
