Sue and I had a great evening on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the Lawrence Anderson Memorial Pie Social in Pine Bluffs.
There was a strong community turnout, and it was encouraging to see so many people taking the time to hear directly from candidates for state and local offices. I appreciated the opportunity to listen to several candidates speak and to visit with them afterward. Some key discussion areas included data centers, availability, and election integrity. It was interesting to hear how some candidates discussed their resumes, how they pertained to their positions, and how they differentiated themselves from others running for the same elected office. This is an important election, and I encourage everyone to do their homework, research the issues, talk to the candidates, and attend events like this. Know who you want in office.
Events like this are a good reminder that candidates and elected officials should be available, approachable, and willing to have real conversations with the people they hope to serve. I encourage everyone to continue participating by attending future gatherings, inviting neighbors, or even lending a hand with organizing. Staying involved helps keep our community strong and connected.
A big thank you to everyone who helped organize this long-standing event. It was well run, welcoming, and, of course, the pie was outstanding. This is the kind of community tradition I look forward to attending each election cycle.
Remember, Primary Elections are on August 18, 2026. Every vote counts.
Thanks, Pine Bluffs, for a great evening.
