Sue and I had a great time at the Laramie County GOP’s annual Red State Rendezvous fundraiser on October 17th at LCCC. The event drew a strong crowd. Guest speaker Kacy Portillo Dixon spoke about forced COVID-19 vaccine inoculation of military service members during the pandemic. Dixon highlighted severe, career-ending repercussions for those seeking religious exemptions. In her case, she sought a medical exemption due to pregnancy.
Building on Dixon's remarks, her personal story of resigning her commission and leaving the service resonated with us. She then dedicated her efforts pro bono to defend thousands of service members who, like her, faced punishment for exercising their constitutional rights.
After the impactful presentation, the evening continued with engaging conversations and new connections. We enjoyed catching up with friends about their summer activities. There were excellent fundraising opportunities, though Sue and I were outbid on a couple of great items.
Coinciding with our event, a Turning Point USA fundraiser was held in remembrance of Charlie Kirk. Since the Red State Rendezvous had been planned for some time, Sue and I, as elected Central Committee members, chose to uphold our commitment and support the LCGOP.
