Touch a Truck Event Brings Smiles to All Ages

The 2025 Touch a Truck event took place on October 4th at the Laramie County Events Center, and it was a hit with both kids and adults alike! While the event is designed with children in mind, more than a few grown-ups couldn’t resist grinning as they explored fire trucks, law enforcement vehicles, earth movers, massive tow trucks, and even the Emergency Management Command vehicle.

Kids were wide-eyed with excitement as they climbed in and around the impressive lineup of vehicles. They left the event with arms full of safety-themed coloring books, educational materials—and of course, plenty of candy!

The day also featured live K-9 demonstrations and an engaging fire safety display, where children learned how to safely exit a two-story, smoke-filled building by climbing down a ladder. A smoke machine added a realistic touch to the important lesson.

And no event is complete without good food—Uncle Fred’s was there to satisfy hungry visitors, and his ever-popular mini donuts were a crowd favorite.
