The LCCC Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter launched with its kickoff event on October 29th at LCCC, drawing nearly 100 attendees from both the college and the wider community.
Community support was evident throughout the evening, as numerous local businesses generously donated food and beverages for attendees. The event’s theme served as a call to action, encouraging participants to continue the work of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk by engaging in open and respectful dialogue with those of differing viewpoints. The LCCC Chapter posted on Facebook, “It’s time for our generation to stand up and get involved.”
A TPUSA LCCC chapter member expressed hope that the group will inspire college students to pursue a deeper relationship with Christ Jesus, connecting closely with the audience and illustrating one facet of TPUSA’s mission in action.
TPUSA’s mission, as stated on their website, is Turning Point USA, Inc. is organized and operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes in accordance with Section 501(c)(3), to empower informed civic and cultural engagement grounded in American exceptionalism and a positive spirit of action. Turning Point USA guides citizens through development of knowledge, skills, values, and motivation, so they can meaningfully engage in their communities to restore traditional American values like patriotism, respect for life, liberty, family, and fiscal responsibility.
The event affirmed my belief that this next generation, united around TPUSA’s mission, will shape our community’s future through principled leadership.
