Day one of the 2024 Wyoming Republican Party State Convention is in the books. As an alternate in the Resolutions Committee, I spent the day as a crucial part of the convention, where the various potential party platforms were discussed and voted on. These resolutions will advance to the next step and be heard and voted on by all State Delegates on Saturday. Some platforms discussed included crime and law, immigration, jobs and economy, energy, foreign policy, and government. There was spirited debate on each topic throughout the day.
I feel that being involved in the political process is of great importance. If we do not stand up and make our voices heard, we risk losing the freedoms that we cherish. As commissioner, I will strive to be a voice for all Laramie County residents.
Just a friendly reminder that all convention meetings are open to the public, a testament to our commitment to transparency and inclusivity. I strongly encourage everyone to take this opportunity to stop by and witness our political process at work.
At the reception kickoff event Thursday night, it was announced that Tulsi Gabbard will be here in Cheyenne in September to speak at the Laramie County Republican Party Summit.
