I recently had the opportunity to assist the University of Wyoming Extension office on the LCCC campus with interviews for a county-funded 4-H position.
Laramie County and the University of Wyoming Extension agree that the county funds one full-time position and shares the cost for a second position. The agreement allows the support of programs based on county needs in agriculture and horticulture, rangeland, nutrition and food safety, 4-H youth development, and community development education.
The full-time position being interviewed for will focus on 4-H activities for the youth of military service members within the county. A full day of interviews resulted in the selection of an extremely qualified candidate for the position.
Assisting other agencies and groups within Laramie County in this manner is just one of the many functions of your County Commission.
